If you own a Windows Phone make sure that it’s Windows Phone 8.1 or above and has the latest updates installed prior to installing WhatsApp. Ensure also that you’re logged into your Microsoft account when accessing the Microsoft Store.
From your Home locate the Microsoft Store tile; if you’ve populated the home area with lots of tiles, you may need to scroll down the screen. Once found, tap it to open– there could be an extra sign-in process at this stage, so be prepared to enter your username/password.
When the Windows Store opens, tap on Search as indicated by the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen. Then,as with the previous version of WhatsApp on Android and the iPhone, enter WhatsApp into the search bar and click on the WhatsApp returned result.
Tap on the WhatsApp tile as it appears in the Windows Store, this will launch the app’s front end along with its included information, users’ reviews, and terms and user agreement. At the bottom of the app’s page, tap the Install button to proceed further.
After tapping Install you’ll be asked a couple of questions: ‘Allow access to the phone’s location?’ and ‘Allow installation to the phone as opposed to the SD card?’Answer yes to both, then drop back to the Home screen and slide to the right to find WhatsApp.
